Wear it Purple Day and IDAHOBIT Day – Demonstrating support through events and activities

Slattery recognises that inclusion does not start and end with days of significance, and encourage our staff to have open, honest conversations. We also acknowledge the importance of showing up and supporting through events & activities.

On the 26th August, Slattery staff recognise “Wear it Purple Day” to raise awareness for the LGBTQIA+ Community.  This year, we hosted a panel discussion on ‘Creating Safe and Inclusive Workplaces’ to share the message in a safe, intimate environment, and create opportunities to build relationships and engage with allies and key business leaders. Slattery annually recognises IDAHOBIT day, on 17 May, with our staff showing support of the LGBTQIA+ community by ‘wearing it rainbow’.

We continue to learn, understand and discuss further initiatives and opportunities, with regular discussions at our monthly Wellness and Inclusion Monthly Meetings.
