This year, PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival launches the Urban Oasis Runway. This exciting runway will showcase leading and emerging First Nations designers alongside established, renegade street and conceptual designers from around Australia.

Alongside our industry partners Architectus, MPA and ADP Consulting, Slattery is sponsoring the Urban Oasis runway – held on the 9th of March on Wurundjeri Country at the Royal Exhibition Building. As one of the hotly anticipated events over the program, Urban Oasis will take cues from global conversations, translating them into fashion for the elevated every day with distinctive Australian edges. Incorporating notions of identity, social enterprise, politics, upcycling and customisation.

Urban Oasis continues Slattery’s initial involvement in the festival last year. In 2022, Slattery, Architectus and MPA (along with Brookfield Properties) supported the festival’s First Nations Program featuring the First Nations program, runway and the KIN Fashion Exhibition.

With Slattery leading the quantity surveying industry with the launch of our ‘Innovate’ Reconciliation Action Plan in 2021, we are thrilled to continue to support First Nation designers and Australia’s arts and cultural landscape.

“We are delighted to continue supporting PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival and its efforts in shining a light on the design talent in Australia. The inclusion of First Nations designers alongside leading, established, and emerging Australian designers replicates our efforts as a practice to highlight the diversity of artists in Australia and help create meaningful change and engagement with First Nations communities.”
