Level Crossing Removal Project, North Western, Western and Southern Program Alliance, Melbourne VIC
The Victorian Government is committed to the removal of 50 of the most dangerous and congested level crossings on the metropolitan rail network (Level Crossing Removal Project). Slattery was engaged as to review Alliance TCE for two proponents based on their scope /strategy. North Western Project was split in two projects – Camp Road project scope includes rail construction under Camp Road, provision for double track, upgrading power, Gowrie turnback and minimum changes to the signalling. Skye Road project which included rail over solution with rail elevation approximately 1 km in length, minimal changes to the signalling and new substation at Kananook. Western Project involved construction rail over Kororoit Creek Road, track duplication, upgrading power & modification of the existing signalling.
On behalf of Slattery, Director Gillian Cottle was responsible for undertaking the independent estimator role on behalf of MTM for a proponent for NWP and WPA, to assess whether it fully captured the scope of the work and provided value for money to the Victorian Government. Additionally, Gillian was responsible for managing both independent estimators for the SPA to ensure our reviews fully captured the scope of the work and provided value for money to the Victorian Government.
