500 Women in Property is an exciting initiative of the Property Council of Australia’s state Diversity committees to cultivate women in the sector.
Slattery is delighted to take part again, with this year, our Managing Director Sarah Slattery and Directors Mark Cathie, James Dennis and Mark Pickerill involved as mentors, and five women from our Sydney and Melbourne offices chosen to participate. Slattery commends all the terrific women who have been chosen to be part of Property Council of Australia’s 500 Women in Property program for 2019, over 500 participants across Australia. Through the program Property Council members take on a personal commitment to champion a woman in their organisation or business sphere who they believe will benefit from further networking and professional development opportunities.
The program was launched on the 14th March in Melbourne at the Windsor Hotel where Lisa Phoa, Felicia Lase, Tegan White and Sushma Suresh attended along with two of our mentors, Slattery Directors Mark Cathie and James Dennis.
Tegan White commented, “There was a huge amount of enthusiasm surrounding the program and it was great to see a considerable number of men also getting behind the initiative as sponsors to support women in the industry.”
Felicia Lase also stated, “I have always been interested in understanding all facets in the property industry, which I believe can be better explored through the large diversity of participants of the 500 women in property initiative”.
We are pleased to see that members from the Slattery team are participating within the program as well as mentors this year and we congratulate their outstanding efforts.
