Championing gender equity in the property and construction sector, Slattery brought over 70 women together today for the Slattery Annual Women’s Lunch in Sydney.

This is the fourth lunch to be hosted in Sydney, growing a strong peer-peer network that celebrates the achievement of women and can foster change for the better.

Slattery Managing Director, Sarah Slattery established the annual lunch program over ten years ago, providing a fun and supportive environment for senior women to meet and connect with their peers in an industry that remains heavily male dominated.

Slattery is strongly committed to diversity in the sector and was founded on the underlying principal of an inclusive culture to power creativity and spark innovation. Company Founder, Peter Slattery believed that by having a workplace that recognises and nurtures diversity, it cultivates a sense of belonging. This in turn, sustains retention, drives recruitment and creates a profitable, high-performance work environment.

This philosophy has contributed to the continued success of Slattery over the last 43 years. Ultimately, it is Slattery’s clients that are the main beneficiaries of this approach.

In May 2018, Slattery won the PWC Award for Best Diversity <250 Employees in the 2018 Property Council of Australia Innovation & Excellence Awards. This is the most prestigious property awards program in Australia, promoting excellence in design and innovation in the built environment.
