Victorian Pride Centre
Slattery has been appointed to provide cost advisory services to the Pride Centre development in St Kilda – with a vision to be the most loved, well known and visited home for the LGBTQI community in Australia. As part of our role, Slattery reviewed all short-listed designs and provided high level costing advice for each. The Victorian Labor Government is contributing $15 million towards the Pride Centre, the first LGBTQI Community Centre in Australia and which was designed by Grant Amon Architects and Brearley Architects and Urbanists, awarded through the design competition. It will showcase LGBTQI art, culture and history; bring together advisory, health and support services, and feature community spaces to provide a safe social environment. The Pride Centre will serve as a hub for LGBTQI groups and organisations.
