Nunawading Community Hub

This is a 3,700m2 community and sporting hub incorporating re-use of existing heritage schoolhouse building and co-locating over 20 existing community groups into multi-use flexible spaces with a single court sports hall. Slattery was engaged for full pre and post contract services. It comprises a multi-functional community facility, a refurbished heritage school building and multipurpose stadium. The facility will have flexible spaces and integrate with the surrounding parkland to allow both indoor and outdoor leisure pursuits. The school building will form a key focal point of the new facility, ensuring the rich history of the site’s use as a school is preserved for future generations.
