Epworth Freemasons Hospital, Melbourne VIC

Slattery has been involved in a number of projects for the redevelopment of Epworth Freemasons Hospital in East Melbourne. The hospital is a 50:50 Joint Venture between the hospital’s operator (Epworth Healthcare) and the investor (Generation Healthcare REIT). The partnership has thus far seen Slattery engaged for a major upgrade of the Hospital’s services infrastructure, installation of additional theatres, including a theatre with robotic surgery capabilities, and expansion of the day recovery wards and CSSD. Slattery is also currently undertaking the cost planning for the design of new cancer treatment centre and a multi-level basement carpark, providing cost advice to ensure the project’s success. As part of this project the basement car park will be future proofed to allow for additional construction of a new hospital overhead. Slattery has assisted Epworth and Generation Health to complete a long-term masterplan and feasibility study for this project.
