5 Martin Place, Sydney

The original 5 Martin Place building is of national and state significance as the original Head Office of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, its first building in Sydney. The building comprised a heritage office building over ten levels with associated basement parking and an ornate ground floor banking chamber. The property underwent extensive redevelopment to incorporate a new office tower which includes a twenty metre cantilever over the heritage building. The finished product is a 19 level office building comprising approximately 33,000sqm.

The building was designed to a 5 Star Green Star standard and was completed in 2015. It is now fully leased with Ashurst occupying the prime space on the upper heritage levels. Slattery began working on the current scheme in 2009 and provided full quantity surveying services to Dexus and CBUS throughout the course of the project.
