Victoria Street Gateway

A major public art project, the Victoria Street Gateway provides articulation to the entrance to Victoria Street Richmond from Hoddle Street, a key Vietnamese and Chinese retail and restaurant strip in Melbourne. Slattery provided cost management for this giant welded sculpture, a threshold of welcome to the precinct which includes computer choreographed lighting, railway bridge artworks, suspended Vietnamese hats and the tall sculptural boat form inspired by a Vietnamese story; symbolizing hope, courage and transformation.
