Taronga Institute for Science and Learning, Sydney
The Taronga Institute for Science and Learning builds upon Taronga Zoo’s existing activities and capacity to deliver world-class conservation research and education (school, vocational and university). The project included the construction of a purpose-built precinct at Taronga Zoo involving the refurbishment and extension of existing education buildings and animal holding areas, and the construction of a new science building. This has created a consolidated facility which supports greater collaboration and cross-pollination between the zoo’s science and learning programs. Slattery Australia’s services included cost planning, tender analysis and post contract cost control.
