Slattery is excited to announce that a number of the projects it provided quantity surveying and cost management support for have taken out awards in two separate award programs announced recently.
In the 2017 Victorian Architecture Awards, announced on June 30, the following projects received accolades:
- Arts West – ARM Architecture and Architectus. Received the Educational Architecture Award and Colorbond Award
- Frank Bartlett Library and Moe Service Centre – FJMT. Received the Urban Design Joseph Reed Award and Public Architecture commendation
- STREAT Cromwell – Six Degrees Architects. Received a Commercial Architecture commendation
These projects will now progress to the National Architecture Awards to be announced in Canberra in November.
In the Australian Library Design Awards 2017 the Geelong Library & Heritage Centre received the ALIA Members’ Choice award. Designed to be an inspiring, multipurpose space, the centre will be many things to many different people: a place to meet and socialise; to read and study; to attend events; and use new technologies. Each level is unique with gathering places, reading spaces, the latest technology, spectacular collections, children’s and youth hubs, function zones, café and more.
Congratulations to the architects on these fantastic wins which enable Victorian architecture to be promoted and celebrated on a national and world scale.
