Slattery Melbourne team walk for mental health – raising over $40,000

Slattery has five teams taking part in the 2021 Melbourne Coastrek Challenge, which involves walking 30km through the Mornington Peninsula coastline. Among 4000 women and men, there are 18 staff members who are representing Slattery to help raise funds for the incredibly important community health service, Beyond Blue. With the challenge being held on the 21^stMay, the five teams have already raised over $40,000. Particularly due to the impact COVID-19 has had on many, Slattery is taking on the challenge to help Beyond Blue deliver programs and services that make a difference in the lives of those people living with various mental health conditions.

Managing Director, Sarah Slattery who is participating in the challenge, says “2020 was a tough year for many, not least our staff, friends and colleagues. I am delighted that we can contribute to such an important cause, and in such a positive way.”

Our teams are motivated and look forward to taking on the challenge together.

Slattery Senior team member, Maja Meh, encouraged Slattery staff to take on the challenge after finding the walk so fulfilling last year, “Following a very successful and enjoyable walk in 2020, I reached out to my work colleagues to participate in this year’s challenge. The event provides a combination of fitness and fundraising, which is always more fun in a group. It’s been fantastic to see our staff get together during the week for training walks and hikes.”

The Slattery teams taking part in Coastrek next Friday are:
