On Tuesday 30 October, Property Council of Australia held a ‘Girls in Property’ program. 50 Year 9 students from Mentone Girls Secondary College, Melbourne Girls College, Pascoe Vale Girls College and Canterbury Girls Secondary College all participated. This program aims to raise awareness among high school students about the career opportunities the property industry has to offer and to encourage greater female participation in this booming industry.
Slattery Quantity Surveyor Runil Ganoo took part in the program this year, participating in a speed networking session. Runil discussed the ins and outs of working as a Quantity Surveyor at Slattery and what it is like in the property and construction industry more generally. The program started in 2017 in NSW to huge success, making this the first year the program has gone national. Slattery is delighted to be part of this fantastic initiative.
