Footscray Learning Precinct

Slattery was originally appointed to develop the Masterplan for the Footscray Learning Precinct, designed to cater to the rapidly growing population in the area. We were then appointed to provide full cost management for the four component projects, a new Years 7-9 campus at Pilgrim Street, adjacent to VU and Footscray City Primary; conversion of Gilmour Girls College to a co-ed Years 7-9 campus and refurbishment at Footscray City College to cater to seniors in Years 10-12.  Refurbishment of existing and a new multipurpose facility (gym/performing arts hall) will be built at the primary school, which can be shared with the new Pilgrim Street campus.  The project features complexity in timing, budget and each site’s conditions, including ground contamination and asbestos.
