Cherry Creek Youth Justice Project
Slattery was engaged to provide cost advisory services for the new $400m youth justice facility which will provide 144 beds for remand and sentenced clients, a 12-bed mental health unit and an intensive supervision unit of approximately eight beds with education and other essential amenities. The project will provide a purpose-built facility that will give young people who have seriously offended the best options for rehabilitation as part of their management program, building their capacity to understand the consequences of their actions and deal with the underlying causes of their behavior, combined with vocational training and transitional support to counteract reoffending risk when integrating back into the community.
The project has been procured through a Managing Contractor procurement route and Slattery is critically involved in the tracking of subcontracts, cashflow and GCS status and reviews all progress claims and variations.
