Adelaide Contemporary

Slattery has been involved with the design competition for a new contemporary art museum and cultural destination in Adelaide, Adelaide Contemporary. To be located on the former Royal Adelaide Hospital site on North Terrace, adjacent to the Adelaide Botanic Garden, the new museum will be approximately 15,000 m², with growth up to 19,500, largely accommodating research and education functions.  Slattery initially provided a peer review of an early cost plan prior to the design competition launch. We were then invited to participate in the Technical Review Panel, reviewing the six competition semi-finalist submissions, provided at Stage 2 against the specified criteria. Diller Scofidio and Renfro and Woods Bagot’s team were announced as the winning team in June 2018.
